Appreciate and Give Thanks

Regardless of where we live this is a time to give thanks and give back.  To be grateful and appreciate what we have and not question what we’ve lost.  It’s not a personal vendetta God has thrust upon us, but Mother Nature trying to let us know that we can’t escape disaster…  If we built homes near the water, one day the waves will take it back.  If we fill holes with sand and rocks and built on top of it, one day it will cave in.  If we built homes on mountain tops, rain can wash it all away…  We have free will to choose.  We make the decision and not God.

We keep taking from the earth and continue infecting our environment to satisfy our greed and ego. When disaster occurs, it is easier to blame God than accept responsibility for our actions… I’m no better…  I live in paradise on swamp land… I made the sound decision to live here knowing full well the impact of flooding… I take full responsibility for my actions.  I just hope and pray that if and when disaster strikes I will be spared and that is all I can all do… We can put the blame on our builders and politicians who approve the plans, but we can also do our part by being informed consumers.  There’s so much builders can hide from us and the rest is up to us… We can continue to keep the blindfold on or open our eyes to a bigger picture…
