Sights of St Augustine

Not only does St. Augustine offer great beaches with lovely scenery and nice relaxation, but also a little bit of history…

My favorite site was the Fountain of Youth…  St Augustine is known for the Spanish explorer, Ponce de Leon.  He set eyes on Florida in 1513 while searching for the Fountain of Youth.  Supposedly, the water could reverse illness and preserve youth.  Don’t think it reverses anything or makes anyone younger, but this makes the city more interesting.

I tasted the sulfur water from the spring which is still active today, but it was not very tasty…  It can be purchased, but I do not recommend it…

Lovely village to walk through with various demonstrations for visitors…
