Sally D’s Mobile Phoneography Challange: Dragon Fruit

Up Close Dragon Fruit

This is an exotic fruit bearing cactus species. Not only is the fruit rather amazing to look at, it has a delicate sweet taste, and the flowers can also be used for making herbal tea…

  1. Exotic is exactly my reaction. It’s a fascinating fruit and one that I hardly ever hear about its use. That first capture shows its eloquently edged designs and the other image shows us how its grown, which displays its unusual tropical foliage. Happy Photo Challenge.

I have never seen these before, Lor!! Incredible sight!!! Your captures are really good. I like how you showed an individual plant and then how they actually grow. Thank you! Love, Amy ❤

I’ve googled to fruit now just to make sure that I never had it, and I’d like some. Cool shots, especially the second. When does it give fruit?
