Up close and personal…

Which do you think is the best result…
Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge: Macro (and Silence)
Each shows the delicacy of the grasses, but the macro gives us a shadowy background and then details that show off the dried seedpods. Happy Photo Challenge.
Thanks for you commentary… I always like to see the entire picture, but I also like the detail of up close…
Both are so beautiful. You are really talented, Lor. Love your posts. Keep ’em comin’!
Ah! Thank you for the encouragement… I’ve thought many times to cut back and sometimes even stop posting because it takes up so much time, but I can’t… It’s been three wonderful years and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it… 🙂

I use both or either one depending on what I am trying to accomplish, or more often, what strikes my fancy. Of your two photos above, the distant shot seems more powerful to me. –Curt
Thank you… I thought I should show both so people could see where the dried leaves came from…
I love the up close and personal, but really it depends on the mood you’re trying to convey I think. Beautifully done on both.
Thanks, Belinda… I like macros, but also like showing the entire picture…
I like them both, but I prefer the macro. It has such a feeling of peace. It would be a great entry in the Weekly Photo Challenge at WordPress today, as the theme is “Serenity.”
Thanks, Janet… I have to make more time to enter more challenges… It’s a nice way to show some of my work…
Very nice, very soothing.
Thank you… It was very peaceful there… 🙂
I so love the breathtaking photos of sand dunes at the beach….you captured them to beautifully!
Thanks, Shirley… What a pretty place… All the little island are different, but this one was just beautiful…
