Age Is But A Number

Mom

My mom is trying to let us know…

“Age doesn’t forgive…

Aches and pains seem to multiply…

And wrinkles are not too far behind…

But thorough it all…

It is what we make of it”…

Satchel Paige said “age is mind over matter – if you don’t – it don’t matter!” ha!

My mother is the same, she is so scared of aging. She says I am too young to understand. But aging only happens on the outside, right? I mean inside we only get wiser and wiser, and that must be something to treasure and celebrate! 🙂

I like me at an old age… I’m different and I think a little bit wiser which only comes through experiences… I don’t mind getting older, but my mom doesn’t pass a day over fifty nine… Pretty soon I’ll be the same age as her… Lol…

Aging has its good points, but those wrinkles, aches and pains I can do without!

  6. I so agree, having arrived at “that” age myself! But I always say, after a certain age (somewhere in our 20s), we’re all the same age inside! 🙂

  7. Wow! Your mom looks amazing! I am 62 and still trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up…yikes! with age, I am realizing that NOW is probably the time to stop procrastinating …hehe but such a hard habit to break as when I procrastinate, vege, I write and dream.

Thanks… She’ll be seventy eight this yr… But she’s doing great… I wanted to do my hobbies which are photography and jewelry making with clay and beads and little by little I am doing all three… First you have to determine what you really want and then start searching… I knew what I wanted then I had to figure out how to accomplish it… Took me a couple of years to figure it all out, but I’m on my way…
