Last post of the month… Wow… Can’t believe how fast time is flying by…
I finally set my first 2013 goal… It’s about time I come up with a goal for the year…
I’m changing my eating habits… I refuse to call it dieting… It reminds me too much of dying… I’m embarking in a change of habits… I do need encouragement and advice on how to get rid of sugar cravings… I use to eat “big” pieces of chocolate, cake, or ice cream daily and before getting Diabetes, I’ve decided it is time for a change…
Suzanne Somer’s programs worked for me in the past; therefore, I think I’m going to incorporate some of her ideas… You can eat fruits, carbs, and protein with her diet, but cannot mix any… What I think I will use is the fruits in the mornings until lunch time. Then, I will just eat healthier during the day… My metabolism isn’t all that fast so I probably need to give myself a month before I see some results… Wish me luck…
Day 1 – I had (1) cup of coffee mixed with Chia Tea and ate pineapple chunks for breakfast… For lunch, I made (½) of a sweet potato with onions and a little butter and (1) chicken breast fried with a little olive oil, onions, and olives… I seasoned it with garlic and an organic vegetable mix… For dinner, I made my concoction which is a soup made of a mixture of brown rice, barley, yellow and green peas, and lentils… I cooked it on the crock pot with chorizo, ham, tomatoes, and spinach… I seasoned it with grated ginger, garlic, and the veggi mix I purchased from Whole Food… Had a yogurt for snack…
I have not been very hungry today… Wow! That’s a first… Positive thoughts…. I can do this…
I will not bore anyone with my daily recipes and frustrations… But… I will give an update once or twice a month… I hope I can do this because I need some extra energy…
