Christmas Eve

Dear Me:

Had a terrific Christmas… The family came over as planned and we ate, and ate, and ate… Then we wonder why we’re so chunky… They loved my turkey, pork and the rest of the trimmings and they enjoyed the deserts afterwards especially the guava cheesecake. Everyone always seems to enjoy the cheesecake the most. I have to admit, it does taste great… We did our song and then we opened presents… That was fun… Couldn’t have asked for a better night…

Christmas Day, I relaxed… Didn’t get out of my PJs until late afternoon and then I put on a new set of PJs. Spent the day watching Christmas movies. Loved my day… Much needed rest…

Then reality set in and back to work I went… I am grateful to have a job, but it was horrible getting up again at six. I was sleeping every day until ten and eleven… I can’t get used to six am… I’m just not a morning person… But I prefer to start my day early and get home at a decent time to enjoy my evening… It’s a trade-off…

A couple of more days and the New Year will begin… Wonder what this year has in store for me… I know great things will transpire in my life and that’s all I need to know…

I’m excited because my grandson Tyler is visiting his dad in Orlando I will get to see him Sunday… I’ll be picking him up for lunch and will get to spend a few hours with him… Can’t wait… He brings me joy… I’ll have to make it up to Sean sometime in June or July. I probably go up for a visit then…
